Broken Screen/Applecare

Hi there, I dropped my iPhone 5 this morning and the screen cracked pretty heavily. My questions is for when I go in and get it fixed, I know have AppleCare for my Macbook, does that transfer over to my iPhone as well so that I will only pay $50 for the repair rather than the whole price? Or does AppleCare only work on the device you got it with?

iPhone 5, iOS 9.3.5

Applecare is per device, so you don't have it for your iPhone

iPhone Screen Repair & Replacement - Official Apple Support lists the cost for Out of Warranty Repair.

Apple Care for iPhone does not cover user damages.

You have an Out of Warranty replacement for a fee, make a genius bar appointment with Apple for an evaluation.

while on the call ask how much you have to pay.
